So we tried Salamanca 1812

So the french army is deployed in a long " march column" . As to help the french we had modified the scenario by deploying the french in column formation so as to play a nice battle and not a near defeat .

The british tried to advance quickly but deployed in line . Mt light division managed to move albeit half-move as Wellington could not command him directly and it slowed down my movements
But more in the center I managed to advance

Trying to get in The cavalry charge will be really destructive as both the french cavalry and the french line will be routed . The french line had failed to form square and the heavies rolled a 1 for control so ...chaaaaarge and kill the froggies

A view from the other flank. The french firing at my units was rather ..destructive I rolled a lot of one's so often got disorganised so a french column was tempted to charge downhill but that flank was to be crushed but the british, Portuguese might

Some heavy fighting but around the windmill I am disorganised as does the french infantry ( blue square near the unit) and my row of "one" did hurt me a lot under his nice firing .

The rounds of french excellent shooting stopped my assault and I had to fall back to avoid being crushed . But Wellington is victorious in the center and on the right flank . It might surprise those who do not play NB but I could not follow what was happening on other fronts so could not really follow except we were "winning"

Nearing the end
My cavalry wanted to attack but I failed my command dice just that turn
Later his dragoons would break my infantry brigade who failed to make square and I had forgotten the possibility to lie down . .
That was the end of the game .
The other british commanders managed to get control of the ridge and beat the french left flank . So we called it a draw in Wellington's favour .
Nice game but I should remember to roll the one's for command and the ten's for shooting
