A few days ago I attended a NB session and we played the Fuentes De Onoro scenario
You can find it here : https://www.jemimafawr.co.uk/2020/05/27/the-battle-of-fuentes-de-onoro-1811-a-scenario-for-napoleons-battles/
NB is a quick paced "old" grand tactical rule
I was given Spencer's and Picton's command, tasked with the defence of Fuentes de Onoro itself .

Defending Fuentes De Onoro

Our guest Marshall Massena

The cavalry facing each other

The french trying to outflank Fuentes De Onoro

The french trying to storm Fuentes de Onoro . Picton facing difficukt odds is trying to resist and counts on the quality of his units ( and his personnal +2 to the D10 dice )

In the end , a counterattack in the town manages to throw out the french and Picton manages to hold . I do not even know what is happeining on the rest of the field

So a broader view . I still hold Fuentes De Onoro, Picton has suffered huge loses but the french assault has been repulsed. All the french divisions I face are "fatigued" so may not attack .

The spanish guerilla galantly do charge but will fail

The french came back and the fight is on Picton is near breaking but will hold

From what I heard the many french assaults were repulsed in the center, many generals dead or wounded on their side .
The conclusion was a bloody draw to the advantage of Nosey .
My feelong was that both sides failed to coordinate. The french should have waited and just pin my units at Fuentes de Onoro to give time to their flanking column to get around and force Wellington to make choices. Wellington was perhaps a bit to on the assault but everyone had fun and learned a lot . Those are the most important aspects of that day
Next time we will try another version of that scen .
