Britcon 2024 continued

It has been some time now but life is sometimes a bit unpredictable. So as a reminder my army list

I was to meet John Munro's Bourbon France Catalan war army . An army designed for mountain warfare

I managed to outscout him . The battle was technically interesting but I avoided the battle on my lefy flank and I mean avoiding and I could not engage him on my right flank so the battle ended very inconclusively . I fear John did not enjoy the game

The french left flank and it's anchor a village or town

The french deployment is simple . On my left he deployed his best infantry . He had the terrain need to avoid me outflanking him so my infantry would have to be very careful and potentially avoid a battle. Not glorious but a question of survival. I hoped to hurt him by defending fiercely

Putting pressure they said ...but a talented general does not always have good cards and you can do only with what you have.

The polish Cossacks will take a toll shooting on green dice but the P&S wall is too strong

Pushing , shooting bu not many casualties

My infantry is trying to defend vs mounted and I will be lucky with my dice. Oups the dead man is a greek soldiers ....MEG is not far away

The french are pushing hard taking loses but nothing very conclusive

And so slowly the game will end very inconclusively

I cannot remember the score but it was something like 2-2 or 2-4 . John's infantry being better than mine I had to delay and his flanks were well protected I never found a way to get in.
