Interesting situation, the top 3 players were Antoine at the top, next myself and Huub to close the podium

So I was to face Antoine and Huub would face Frédéric Dufour,

The logic of the top 4

I won the toss, decided to defend so I would avoid the nasty Thaï swampish jungle and even out scouted my opponent and fellow player by 20%

The Thaï elephant king

Facing nellies, I fought once again as a full infantry army . The Murakami were deployed on my right and I intended to avoid the battle on my left using drilled units to do it hoping to fall back often enough to give time to my right wing to kill my opponent's numerous infantry

A view from the Thaï lines

The sacrificial lamb . It will be unable to fall back and will explode when SUP nellies will charge and roll 4 skulls and a wound at impact

I concentrated my skilled shooters and the average thaï infantry suffered

To the point of death and my bowmen will still have a hard fight. His nellies will come and nearly break through my foot samurai ( the 3 TUGs) but a timely dice, a timely skull will break the nellies, both nelly TUGs will die and I will rush forward towards his camp . One Murakami TUG will die but the other will kill some more archers

I will loose my ashigaru, all 3 TUGS and the teppo

The nellies will advance but without support as the ashigaru will block the infantry long enough to die but also immobilise the thaï infantry . So the nellies will advance only to be sandwiched between 2 SUP LS TUGS and so die breaking the Thaï army 15-10 in my favour but a hard fought battle, an enjoyable game, and I won the tournament

3rd Frédéric Dufour

2nd Antoine Hoekman

1st myself
